Lunenburg Couples Session

This set of engagement photos from Nadav and Sophie’s Couples Session in Lunenburg was a lot of fun to create. Nadav is a very talented wedding photographer himself. It was a huge compliment to be asked to photograph their wedding and engagement photos. Nadav and Sophie live outside Nova Scotia and were visiting the province for a vacation. Luckily, their trip to Lunenburg lined up with a week that I was available. Below are the photos from their engagement shoot.

We met up just outside Lunenburg, on a beautifully overcast East Coast evening to take their engagement photos in this quaint fisherman’s wharf. I’m always amazed by the amount of wildlife in Nova Scotia. We were lucky to see a deer and her fawn, and the usual multitude of sea birds. I love getting to spend time with a couple before shooting their wedding. I often treat engagement shoots as a practice run for the wedding day. It’s great to be able to see which photographs couples like. More importantly, it gives me a chance to get to know the couple. Sometimes so much is happening on a wedding day that there isn’t the same opportunities to get to know someone as there is when I’m shooting engagement photos. I feel that this set of photos captures their personalities and the love between them. I’m really looking forward to photographing their wedding next summer.
