As a Toronto Wedding Photographer, I see a lot of different types of weddings. Some stay with me long after I’ve finished editing. This was one of them. When I shoot, I’m drawn most to interactions between the couple and their families. It’s these small fleeting moments that I love to observe and love to document so that my clients can see what is so special about themselves and the people around them. The following post is a little story of some of the moments that I loved most from this intimate wedding at The Chase Toronto. If you’re planning your own wedding and looking for inspiration, here are some of the things to look out for in the following post.
1. The couple put so much focus on what was comfortable for them as opposed to tradition. This way, they enjoyed the day without feeling like they were performing rituals for their guests.
2. The Bride and Groom both got ready in the Shangri-La surrounded by their families. They then had their first look in the Bridal Suite with their families watching on. I loved documenting this as it was a wonderful intimate moment that led to some really special photos. The Bride’s Mother crying gets me every time!
3. The schedule was uncomplicated with lots of spare time so everyone enjoyed the day without rushing. Again, this leads to many more moments between people as they have time to chat and enjoy each other’s company, which leads to great photos and keeps me happy!
4. The fewer guests you have at your wedding, the more you get time to spend with the guests that are there. This was so apparent with Teresa and Ian who had so much quality time with each of their guests.
5. The Chase Toronto made for such a wonderful backdrop to the day. Especially as dusk set and the city came to life.
