Halifax Wedding Photographer
This story is why I am so passionate about candid, documentary wedding photography.
I can't replicate any of these photos, but I can tell you the ingredients for a wedding day full of meaningful candid moments: Plan enough to be spontaneous. Tell me who is important to you, but keep your shot list to a minimum. Simplify your schedule, allowing space for unscripted moments to happen. Let go of worrying about your hair, the weather and the small stain you got on your sleeve. Surround yourself with the people you love most and enjoy being together.
"Hugh did an exceptional job and we loved the photos he took for our wedding at the Westin in Halifax. He understood what style of photos we were going for and he nailed it. I enjoyed how efficient he was at getting the shots. Once things got under way there was a lot of time you felt like you didn’t even notice him because he’s so good at being in the background but still taking the best shots and capturing all the moments. Very friendly and an easy person to hang around with, which made the whole experience even more perfect. Highly recommend Hugh!"

I've been working as a photographer since before digital cameras were mainstream. I have an all-consuming passion for photography that, over the past 20 years, has taken me to some incredible places and introduced me to many wonderful people. I am deeply captivated by people-watching. There are so many meaningful gestures, looks and reactions that make us who we are. I believe that life is better when it is shared with people you love.
